The Republic of Palau is currently undergoing reform in Telecommunications and ICT industry.  This is through the financial support and assistance of the World Bank, a project of P160504.  The reform includes the establishment of the Regulatory institution call the Bureau of Communications (BoC), the review of the existing market, its contributions to Palau’s national economy and its outlook investment plan. 

The reform also saw development of the required regulations and other regulatory framework such as spectrum management activities, interconnection and numbering. 

Under the hat of SPECS, Dalsie Green Baniala Tolang is being appointed as the Telecommunications Regulatory Advisor contributing to this reform focusing on the establishment of the Regulatory institution.  The establishment of the Regulator’s office was done in 2019, other regulatory matters are on-going till end of 2022.
